I've read a lot of reports about Sprint 4G being a gimmick and no faster than the iPhone's 3g coverage. Obviously, this couldn't be further from the truth.
My brother in law was in town this week and we sat in the coffee shop and geeked out for a while. We ran our own speed tests. I hate to admit it but the 3g speed on the iPhone was faster than the 3g speed on my EVO. I got 1.38 Mb/s while he pulled down 2.12 Mb/s. My Upload and ping was faster though. However, when I turned on 4g we saw the EVO sing. I topped off at 5.06 Mb/s. This is very close to what I download on my home wireless network. You won't see me post many things about Apple but this is mildly interesting. Not sure why you would want to do this but this is one way you can use the iPad that Apple can't prevent you from doing.
