Don’t panic! The Pacman virus hasn’t infected Google

Media_httpwwwsophosco_macaa

I'm at a client site today and a user called in frantic because there was Pacman music coming from her computer and she didn't know what was going on. It doesn't help that they are doing some other testing today. Doing a bit of research turned up this article about being able to play Pacman on the Google home page. Those crazy guys! I tried to resist laughing but it seemed quite funny. I've got to get this work done early so I can get some Pacman time in.

I Think I Love Android

I found out my son has been having some problems with his Blackberry 8830. He's been dealing with it for a while without complaining. It was an old phone that I carried for a few years before I gave it to him. We set out to the Sprint store today and I let him have his choice of what he wanted for an upgrade. His choice was the Samsung Moment.

Even though this phone has been out for a year, I hadn't heard of it. I've been out of the loop. I've been a Sprint customer for about 10 years and they have sorely been lacking in quality phones for the last few years. I'm happy to see the new additions being offered by Sprint. A good number of Blackberry's and Android phones.

The Moment we got is running the brand new Android 2.1 OS w/ speech-to-text, pinch-to-zoom and other huge updates to the previous software. It has a QWERTY slide-out keyboard and a 3.2 inch HVGA AMOLED touchscreen. I'm extremely happy to see that it also has wi-fi. Sprint didn't carry any wi-fi enabled phones until later last year. My son's also happy to have the 3.2 megapixel camera since the 8830 had none.

With the problems I've been having with my Blackberry, I have admit that I'm a little jealous. My battery lasts a little better than half the day and the browser is deplorable. I would also like to have a larger screen. I did find out that I have the ability to upgrade in June. Maybe I'll be looking at the HTC EVO in the future.
